Admissions

The Board of Directors have established the following requirements for admissions to Esperanza. After students have met the preliminary requirements, final acceptance and class placement will be determined through a lottery system.

Basic Requirements for Admission

• Students must be girls entering grade 5
• Students must live in the City of Lawrence
• Students must qualify for reduced or free lunch
• Students must have a supportive adult who is actively committed to the students academic and social success

Esperanza Academy Inc., admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basic of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, and athletic and other school administered programs.

Applications for the lottery will be available in February. They must be turned in by the end of March. Mandatory orientation and information sessions will take place in April and the lottery will be held at the end of April or the beginning of May.
